The World Evangelical Alliance\u00a0mourns the passing of Dick Eastman, a deeply respected evangelical leader, global prayer advocate, and cherished partner in the work of the Gospel, who went to be with the Lord on April 21, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For decades, Dick Eastman served as a trusted and steadfast partner of WEA, championing the integration of prayer and evangelism globally. His unwavering commitment to prayer, evangelism, and the unity of the global Church strengthened our shared mission and left a lasting imprint on our fellowship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bishop Efraim Tendero, Global Ambassador, WEA, recalls, “We witnessed his passion for mobilizing prayer for global evangelism. He trained pastors and leaders of the Philippine National Alliance on strategic prayer through the Change the World School of Prayer. During WEA\u2019s General Assembly in Indonesia, he introduced the interactive World Prayer Map, inspiring believers to pray intentionally for nations and highlighting countries with the greatest spiritual need.<\/em>“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a Founding Member of 2033\u2014The Decade of Great Commission, Dick played a significant role in shaping a global vision to ensure every person, everywhere, has access to the message of Jesus Christ by the year 2033. His burden for spiritual awakening moved countless believers toward prayer and mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dick Eastman will be remembered as a man of extraordinary devotion, humility, and perseverance\u2014a bridge-builder who united leaders, movements, and nations around a shared calling. His legacy continues through the lives transformed by his ministry and the ongoing work of the global Church he so faithfully served.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues, and all who were impacted by his life and ministry. Even in grief, we give thanks for a life poured out in faithful service to God and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
