Dr. Walker Tzeng serves as the Executive Director of the World Evangelical Alliance IT Commission. The IT Commission’s vision is to utilize Information Technology for advancing the work of the Kingdom and fulfillment of the Great Commission. Dr. Tzeng has been with WEA since 2004 in various technology-related leadership roles, which led him to help launch the base for WEA’s IT Infrastructure, web presence, and communication systems that it continues to use today.
In addition, Dr. Tzeng serves as Executive Director of the World Evangelical Theological Institute Association (WETIA), whose mission is to advance the use of technology in evangelical institutions worldwide. His role at WETIA led him to create EdBrite, an E-Learning and Student Database platform designed for theological seminaries in the majority world.
Dr. Tzeng has extensive background in higher education, accreditation, and education technology due to his role as Chief Operating Officer and Chaplain at Olivet University. He also serves or has served on the Boards or leadership committees of various organizations including the Association for Biblical Higher Education, National Association of Evangelicals, Global Great Commission Network, and City Vision University.
After graduating from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree, Dr. Tzeng earned his and Master of Divinity (2005) and Doctor of Ministry (2010) at Olivet University.
Dr. Tzeng is Senior Pastor of Gratia Community Church in San Francisco, where his wife and three children are all active.
Above all, Dr. Tzeng loves the Lord Jesus Christ and wishes to give glory and honor back to Him.
