Hindu extremists allegedly belonging to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) attacked Christmas function and accused the Christians of forceful conversion on December 14 in Bangarapet, Kolar, Karnataka.
Rev. Noel Kotian, EFI correspondent in Bangalore reported that the extremists barged into the Christmas function organized by Helping Hands, an organization which stands to help rural women and children.
The assailants burned the gospel literatures and accused Samuel Moses, Director of Helping Hands and his accountant of alluring the people to convert to Christianity. They dragged the two believers to the police station where they were detained for about nine hours.
The news was relayed in channel TV9 and also in the local newspapers.
The Christians were released at press time but police investigation is going on to confirm whether forcible conversion was taking place or not.
Please pray for justice and for the suffering Christians in Karnataka.
