Europe: European Evangelical Alliance Brussels Representative, Tove Videbaek returns to Danish Polit

General October 23, 2007

Press Release

European Evangelical Alliance

Mrs Tove Videbaek (Denmark), has faithfully served the European Evangelical Alliance (EEA) for the last two years. She now returns to the campaign trail at home.

‘The EEA’s voice has not been heard very clearly in recent years. It has been a pleasure and privilege to seek to correct that.

As Europe discovers new identities in the 21st century, I am convinced that it must hear the voices of communities of faith. If it does not do so, it will lose its heart.

I have greatly enjoyed serving the 15 million committed Christian people who make up the EEA’s constituency.

My deep interest in wider European issues continues, as I return to the national political scene in Denmark. I will especially be praying for Christel Ngnambi, EEA Brussels Manager, about whose appointment I am very excited.’

Gordon Showell-Rogers, EEA General Secretary comments:

‘The EEA’s current focus includes Children’s Rights and Climate Change. But immigration, ethnic diversity, and inclusivity are high on our priority list: so it is fitting that Tove’s successor in Brussels should be a new European (Christel Ngnambi, Cameroonian and permanent resident in Belgium)

‘We are deeply grateful to Tove for the passion and commitment that she has brought to her role within the EEA, and are very glad indeed that she is now happy to serve the EEA in occasional consultancy’
