Christian missing in Khandamal, Orissa

Christians in Mondasoro, Khandhamal, Odisa suspect that Hindu extremists are behind the abduction and possible murder of Angad Digal who is missing since 10 March.

Our correspondent reported that Angad Digal travelled on 10 March along with some alleged Hindu extremists. When Digal did not returned home, a team of local Christians and some human rights activists started searching for him. However, Digal remains missing till date. Local Christians fear that Digal has been killed.

On 11 January this year, the body of Saul Pradhan, a 45-year-old independent pastor whose house was burned by Hindu fundamentalists two years ago, was found dead near a pond in Pakala village in Kandhamal’s Raikia Block and bore marks of assault. Though, the police claimed that his death was due to cold, local Christians suspected murder.
