Global Day of Prayer 2009

General November 12, 2008

Dear Friend

We are rapidly moving towards the end of the year and the Festive Season. For some it will be a time of rest and recuperation, whilst others will continue to do the work that God has called us to do. From the office of the Global Day of Prayer we would like to thank you for your efforts in making GDOP 2008 a huge success and we pray that God will bless you over the Festive Season!

The end of one year leads to the beginning of another. We are excited about GDOP and we are trusting God to see ALL nations united in prayer on 31 May 2009. We realize that this will not be possible without your help and support and therefore we would again strongly urge you to take hands with us so that the “earth will be covered with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea”, Hab. 2:14.

Our website www.globaldayofprayer.com will guide you through the 2009 strategy. You will also find all the resources that you would need to organize your GDOP event for 2009.

For your convenience the website has been simplified in order to host only the necessary information to participate in the GDOP strategy: The global Day of Prayer on 31 May 2009, 10 Days of Prayer preceding GDOP and 90 Days of Blessing following GDOP.

It is of utmost important to register your nation’s participation and can be done on the website. This is to supply us with all the necessary contact details in order for us to be able to communicate effectively; and awareness of what is happening in every single nation of the world, expands the move of God and encourages those who are involved.

BUT, we would also urge you to spread the vision amongst all the nations where you have contact. Only through a joint effort will we be able to unite every single nation in prayer on 31 May 2009.

Please do make sure again that you include all generations in the planning and execution of your GDOP process.

Feel free to contact our office at any time if you need any assistance, [email protected].

Have a blessed Christ-mas!
