Operation World – Live Global Prayer Celebration
International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church

Lausanne 2010

The 3rd Congress on World Evangelization started on Sunday, 17th October in Cape Town.   This is the third ever such conference in the history of the modern Church.
Will you pray for God to open hearts and minds to his truth around the world?

Will you pray, and engage your church to pray, for the Lord’s hand on the Congress itself, and on the participants;   ‘Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain’ (Psalm 127:1)

Daily updates will be sent out to those who want to pray for the congress and the program. These updates will contain information on the different topics to be discussed every day, the main speakers, the discussions of the topics, as well as the feedback from the many believers who are praying around the world.

If you want to receive these updates by email, sign up to the Adopt-an-Hour prayer watch http://216.115.71.110/EventManagement/AdoptAnHour/Public/UserEvent.aspx

International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church –
7 November 2010

The International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (IDOP) is a Global Day of Prayer for persecuted Christians worldwide.

The goals of the IDOP and Prayer for the Persecuted Church are to:

·         Increase awareness of the persecuted Church worldwide.
·         Lead in prayer on behalf of the persecuted Church.
·         Promote ongoing and appropriate action on behalf of the persecuted Church.

We believe that prayer changes things. Exactly what happens is a mystery of faith. God invites us to present to Him our requests and to pray without ceasing. Persecuted Christians often plead for prayer to help them endure. The most we can do is the least we can do — pray.

We also encourage continuing prayer and educated involvement on behalf of persecuted Christians.
