EFI News

A mob of 150-200 Hindu fundamentalists destroyed the Church of Divine Mercy in Pitampura, New Delhi on December 5.

The fundamentalists entered the church premises at about 7.30 in the morning and damaged the church which was under construction. They destroyed the work that was in progress and broke machines, generator and scattered the building material. The activists also threatened that if the construction did not stop, they will come again. Later, they also accused the church authorities of forced conversions.

A case has been registered at the Mangolpuri Police Station and investigation is taking place to find the accused.

Please pray that the construction work will resume.
