Congress is upon us
The 6th New Zealand Christian Leaders' Congress is only six days away. The Congress will be one of this year's major ecumenical events, as leaders from a wide range of denominations, ministries and organisations gather to discuss a wide range of issues facing the Church today.
There is a great line-up of speakers, including Geoff Tunnicliffe, Secretary General, World Evangelical Alliance; Jeff Fountain, founder of the Schuman Centre for European Studies; Stuart Lange; Max Scott; Murray Robertson; Nigel Dixon; Andrew Bradstock; Martien Kelderman; Bruce Patrick; Archbishop David Moxon; Glyn Carpenter; Kim Workman; Tim and Barbara Bulkeley; David Hall and Steve Maina, with many others including several denomination leaders involved on reflection panels.
The 2014 bicentenary of the Gospel in New Zealand will be a major focus. Other topics include The Gospel, the State and Other Faiths; The Gospel and Kingdom Economics; The Gospel, Crime and Punishment; The Gospel and Creation; The Bible's Gospel; Whole Church – Whole Gospel; The Whole World International Perspective; Proclaiming the Gospel in Today's New Zealand Context; The Gospel and Creation; The Gospel in the Decade Ahead; The Gospel and Family/Whanau; The Gospel and Cross-cultural Missions.
