DOES CANADA REALLY NEED BILL C-389?
On Wednesday, February 9, Parliament will vote on Bill C-389, which proposes adding “gender identity” and “gender expression” as prohibited grounds of discrimination under the Canadian Human Rights Act. In this ActivateCFPL blog, Don Hutchinson, legal-counsel and vice-president of the EFC questions whether including these new prohibitions is really necessary.

EGYPTIAN CHURCH CALLS FOR GLOBAL URGENT PRAYER
This urgent Prayer Alert by The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada's (EFC) Religious Liberty Commission details how Christians can specifically pray for the recent crisis in Egypt. The EFC has also updated the 2009 Egypt Report called Religious Freedom in Egypt: The Case of the Christian Minority. CRISIS IN EGYPT - 'BETTER THE DEVIL YOU KNOW THAN THE DEVIL YOU DON'T'?
Anita Levesque, co-ordinator for the EFC’s Religious Liberty Commission, comments on the crisis in Egypt and the reasons why many Egyptian Christian are in support of President Mubarak at ActivateCFPL.
