THE EFC RESPONDS TO NDP PROPOSAL ON RELIGIOUS CHARITIES
At its recent convention, the NDP passed a policy proposal targeting the elimination of charitable status for charities that offer support to those considering leaving the homosexual lifestyle. The NDP policy specifically mentions a Christian ministry. In his latest blog EFC VP Don Hutchinson warns of the dangerous slippery slope of identifying faith motivated service as non-charitable work, including the potential impact on a variety of Christian charities.

PRAYER IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS? THE EFC REQUESTS ACCOMMODATION FOR CHRISTIANS

The EFC challenged the Toronto District School Board to accommodate not only Muslim students and their parents’ religious beliefs, but also Christian students and parents who seek religious accommodation. EFC Legal Counsel Faye Sonier was interviewed for the story in the National Post, wrote on this issue for their Holy Post blog and debated it on CTV on July 7.
