EFC PRESIDENT ENCOURAGES NON PARTISAN APPROACH
The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada President Bruce Clemenger appeared Monday before the Ontario Legislatures Standing Committee on Social Policy regarding Bill 179. This bill is designed to amend the Child and Family Services Act of Ontario concerning some crucial issues Ontario children face: services for youth in government care and court orders. Clemenger encouraged the government to work across partisan lines to speed the process of needed legislative reform and to partner with churches in addressing the needs of children and youth who are stuck and languishing in the system 

EFC IN SUPREME COURT WEDNESDAY
The EFC will present verbal argument in the Supreme Court of Canada on Wednesday, May 18 in regard to the Quebec case dealing with the parental right to determine the religious and moral education of their children. For the first time, the EFC has developed the arguments in both official languages and will be arguing this case in French. 

EFC PRESIDENT TO ATTEND PRAYER BREAKFAS

The EFC president and the EFC’s Ottawa Centre for Faith and Public Life will attend Canada’s 46th National Prayer Breakfast on May 18-19. The National Prayer breakfast is an annual ecumenical event. 

VIDEOS AND PHOTOS OF EFC SPEAKERS AT MARCH FOR LIFE
Over 15,000 people gathered on Parliament Hill for a rally in preparation for the March for Life through the streets of Ottawa. The EFC’s VP Don Hutchinson and Legal Counsel Faye Sonier were both featured speakers at this year’s event. In addition, Sonier was the Master of Ceremonies at the evening’s Rose Dinner. NEW AUDIO AND VIDEO RESOURCES FOR MINISTRY
The EFC has produced several resources out of the Hinge Conference held in November 2010, including audio recordings of all of the plenary sessions and video recordings of most keynote speakers' presentations. SEMINAR ON UNDERSTANDING YOUR MUSLIM NEIGHBOURS COMING UP
A seminar on understanding your Muslim neighbours and positively communicating the Good News to them will be hosted by the Canadian Network of Ministries to Muslims (CNMM), Durham Region on June 11. CNMM is a ministry partnership that operates on the EFC’s administrative and communications platform.
