THINKING OF GOING GLOBAL?
If you are a church wanting to establish international partnerships with other churches, attend The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada's (EFC) Global Missions Roundtable "Best Practice for Church to Church Missions for Partnerships" in sponsorship with the Tyndale University College & Seminary's TIM centre and the Jaffray Centre, on Dec. 2., 12 - 2 p.m. Cost is $10 at Tyndale, Room 2085. Register by email or call 416-226-6308 x. 2708.

ASSISTED SUICIDE WOULD CHANGE CANADA’S LEGAL LANDSCAPE
EFC Legal Counsel Faye Sonier examines how the right to assisted suicide would necessarily lead to the duty of one Canadian to kill another, and how this would transform Canada’s legal heritage. Read the webitorial on Christianity.ca or the blog at Activate CFPL.

BOOK BY EFC ROUNDTABLE MEMBER FEATURED IN FAITH TODAY
Bent Hope: A Street Journal by Tim Huff, member of the EFC's Streetlevel: Poverty and Homelessness roundtable is featured in the Nov/Dev 09 issue of Faith Today magazine. It tells the stories of survival and hope on the streets of Toronto; it is compelling, gritty and God centered.

It’s not too late – you have a very important date!
Pre-registration has been extended to Nov. 23 for the Christian Leaders Connection event at Redeemer College in Ancaster, Ont., Tues. Dec. 1. Register today.

Plan ahead for April 2010
A Christian Leaders Connection will be hosted by EFC Affiliate The Metropolitan Bible Church in Ottawa on April 13. Watch the CLC website for details.

IS YOUR CHURCH ONE WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT?
If you would like to see your church featured in EFC’s Faith Today magazine, please submit your story in 400-500 words. Selected stories will be followed up with more in-depth interviews before they are featured in the column A Church You Should Know, featuring congregations with a collaborative, missional vision for their community.

WHO ARE THE GATEKEEPERS IN MY NEIGHBOURHOOD?
The Community Research Guide for Church Leaders, a resource produced out of an EFC-Outreach Canada partnership, will help you answer this and other questions about the neighbours your ministry is trying to reach. Loaded with practical advice and links to web resources, this guide is available in print, CD-ROM and PDF formats.

EFC DIRECTOR ACCEPTS WEA INVITATION
The World Evangelical Alliance’s (WEA) international director and CEO, Rev. Dr. Geoff Tunnicliffe, has agreed to serve another five years following the conclusion of his first term of service in 2010. Tunnicliffe also serves as Director of Global Initiatives for the EFC.

THINK ABOUT THE EFC WHEN YOU ARE BUYING GIFTS THIS SEASON
Like many charities, the EFC offers an opportunity for you to give a gift to help the work of the EFC while honouring a loved one. As Christmas approaches, keep this option in mind.
