EFC REQUESTS ACTION ON ONTARIO PROSTITUTION DECISION
The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada called on the Government of Canada to appeal the Ontario prostitution case decision that struck down several Criminal Code provisions and to review Canada’s endangered prostitution laws. Read the press release.

EFC COMMENTS ON CHILD PROTECTION CAMPAIGN
Staff at the EFC's Centre for Faith and Public Life addressed a concern with a petition from a child protection campaign. EFC SUPPORTS ANTI-CHILD PORN GOVERNMENT INITIATIVE

EFC PARTNERS WITH FORGE AND TYNDALE ON HINGE CONFERENCE
The EFC is pleased work with Forge Missional Training Network and Tyndale University College & Seminary to host a crucial dialogue about the changing landscape of Church and mission and this unique moment in history for Canadian Evangelicals. This partnership allows us to offer an enhanced program with more speakers. Read more about the Hinge Conference (Nov. 16-18 in Toronto) and plan to attend.

STAND — AND KNEEL — WITH THE PERSECUTED CHURCH
Canada will observe the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (IDOP) on Sun. Nov. 14. Join in prayer for the Church around the world.

EFC VP SPEAKS AT ENVIRONMENTAL DECLINE CONFERENCE
The EFC Vice-President Don Hutchinson and Janet Epp Buckingham, former EFC director of law and public policy, spoke on spiritual movements for change and spiritual resources for creation care at the Environmental Decline and Climate Change as Moral Issues conference in Ottawa on Oct. 2.

SASKATOON launch is coming up!

100 million prayers this weekend
On Oct. 10 millions of Christians around the world will pray for the world’s poor, and make a collective promise to act on global poverty. Join this global movement of Christians committed to praying and acting to see the end of poverty? Micah Challenge Canada is a ministry partner of the EFC.

Keeping Up With Events
Visit the EFC’s Canadian Community Calendar to keep up with major conferences and events of interest. October’s calendar includes 26 events at present, including several for youth and women, plus information about locations near you where you can sit in on live video from the Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization. You can even email event information to yourself and copy an event to other personal electronic calendars you may use. Anyone is welcome to submit a regional or national event onto the calendar for free.
