ONE MINUTE MONTHLY UPDATE

DR. KINGHAM IN UKRAINE

  pastors

Dr. Rick Kingham recently returned from Ukraine where he met with key Messianic Jewish leaders for several training conferences. This growing community in the satellite countries of the former Soviet Union is seeing remarkable growth in their congregations. Strategic meetings were held to work on processes to train trainers of pastors in the coming months and years. In the several conferences the worship was simply amazing! Their passionate approach to praise was a highlight of the weeks there! Pray for these often persecuted leaders. Pray that TOPIC may play an important role in developing the training for these precious pastors and leaders.

THE BIHARI OF INDIA

UkraineACTS International has been training indigenous missionaries to reach the unreached Bihari people group of India.  There are a number of challenges -The church is scattered, weak and fragmented. The number of believers are few and young (both in faith and in age) Out of the total population of 83 million people in Bihar [the third most populated state of India], less than 20,000 or  0.02% of Bihari's are Christian.  90% of Bihari's live in rural areas, with only 26% adult literacy. 55% of Bihari's live below the poverty line.  It is a challenge to have "matured" and "educated" believers for the ministry, especially if they are able to venture into more prosperous parts of India where jobs are more readily available, and given the chance of escaping from poverty which has enslaved their families for ages.

"There are times of discouragement, but the Lord has kept us moving, despite insurmountable obstacles, to gather a number of students who are passionate about reaching their own people for Christ.  Would you kindly pray that we will continue to persevere through hard times?  For ministries who want to see big "statistics" of church growth, and mass conversions, don't come to Bihar. I am not doubting that God can usher in a great movement of conversion. For now it seems that it is a time for tilling the ground, sowing seeds, preparing the servants, and waiting patiently for the time of harvest. This is a place for sweat, tears, and prayers.  We need broken hearts, teary eyes, and bended knees!",said Dr. Alvin Low (ACTS Director).

ACTS Institute is located in Bihar's capital city of Patna (population: 2 million).  Patna is the third oldest city in India.

GLOBAL PROCLAMATION COMMISSION MEETS

UkraineIn the first weeks of June RREACH Ministries held a strategic gathering in Dallas, Tx. 99 Pastors and 65 wives from 52 countries attended the reunion of the first 5 years of the Global Proclamation Academy. Led by TOPIC's Chairman of the Board, Dr. Ramesh Richard, these precious leaders gathered for a time of fellowship and training for the implementation of a decade -long project called" The Global Proclamation Commission". In the picture to the right you see some of the attendees signing their names to the Covenant to train Pastors in their nations through the project. The project calls for 100,000 pastors to be trained  by 2020. A strategic gathering of 4000 pastors in 2015  will aid in the multiplication of the projects goals. TOPIC and its member organizations will play a key role in the project. Dr. Rick Kingham and his wife Tracey attended the meetings in Dallas

RREACH is the ministry of Dr. Ramesh Richard, TOPIC's Chairman of the Board of Directors. Their ministry headquarters is in Plano, TX. Their website is rreach.org.

GLOBAL ADVANCE IN MONGOLIA AND EAST AFRICA

pastorsProverbs 10:5 says "he who gathers in summer is a wise son".  Together, this summer we will not miss the harvest God is bringing into His Kingdom!  This month Global Advance will be training and ministering to more than 200 church planters in Mongolia- one of the world's most unreached regions.  Each leader will receive a new church planter's manual- a valuable tool to help them accomplish the vision God has put in their hearts.

Also in June hundreds of pastors will receive tools and training from Global Advance in Rwanda and Burundi.  Both nations are still rebuilding from years of horrific tribal wars and genocide.  Over the past few years we've made tremendous inroads with frontline shepherds of many different denominations.  God has used our conferences to build unity among the Body of Christ in these nations.  Additionally this summer Frontline Shepherds Conferences will equip leaders in Bulgaria, Liberia and Cameroon where leaders are hungry for encouragement, help, and resources.(Taken from Global Advance's Monthly Update)

Global Advance is led by Dr. David Shibley, who was one of the speakers at the original formation meeting of TOPIC and serves as a TOPIC Ambassador. The ministry headquarters is in Dallas, TX.

Their website can be found at globaladvance.org.
