The World Evangelical Alliance together with Micah Challenge and Micah Network invites you to a Micah Summit in New York. The series of events from December 7-9 focuses on evaluating the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and discussing the role of the Church in responding to extreme poverty in 2015 and beyond.
In 2000 the Millennium Declaration was a moment when the world made clear promises to the poor. Fifteen years later, global leaders gather to evaluate those promises, with current world crises in mind. In the heart of Manhattan The Micah Summit opens up a unique space for visionary Christian faith to embrace our calling to the public square. We think effective Christian witness can find a road-map between fear and faith in our post 2015 world.
The event features speakers and panelists including WEA Secretary General Dr. Geoff Tunnicliffe, the Executive Director of the WEA Religious Liberty Commission Rev. Godfrey Yogarajah, WEA Director of Public Engagement Commissioner Christine MacMillan, and various other global and local leaders.
Please register here before November 28!
More information on time and location of the various events can be found in the program flyer.
