Re-Forma has launched a global survey of non-formal ministry training institutions entitled The G.R.E.A.T Institutions Survey, which is short for The Global Research of Evangelical And ministry Training Institutions Survey.

To date, no one has undertaken such a survey and, as a result, the number of ministry training programs remains unknown. In light of the fact that over 90% of all pastors fall into the non-formal sector, it is imperative that a register of training programs be established.

The purpose of the survey is twofold:

1)     It will help us, as Re-Forma, to establish a registry for the many thousands of non-formal training institutions around the world. This, in turn, will enable Re-Forma to make contact with these training institutions in the hope of collaboration in ministry training.

2)     It will provide valuable information about the state of the non-formal theological education sector globally.

Re-Forma will not share personal/organisational information or contact details with anyone. This information will be protected. The research findings, however, such as the number of institutions per country, the number and age of students, the gender split, the focus areas of ministry training, the duration of programmes, and the needs/challenges in non-formal training, will be shared.

The survey can easily be translated into many different languages simply by ‘right-clicking’ on the header image and selecting “translate”, followed by the language selection.
