Leanne’s life was forever changed the day she met a survivor of human trafficking.
Leanne is the Executive Director of the European Freedom Network, an anti-trafficking network with over 270 Christian organizations from 42 countries. She also founded Abolishion (Australia, Romania and Portugal) in order to break the systems that keep people in slavery. She is also an ordained minister with Australian Christian Churches.
Leanne led Neuma Church Mission (formerly Bridge Church), leading community development programs in Australia, Thailand, Cambodia, Africa and India. Leanne also has over 15 years of experience working with issues of homelessness and housing.
Leanne holds an IT degree from Queensland University of Technology and a Grad Dip of Theology from Harvest Bible College. She is currently completing a Master of Arts at Alpha Crucis College with her thesis research on “What is the modus operandi that traffickers use to recruit people online for the purpose of sexual exploitation?”
Leanne now resides in Portugal and travels across Europe to work with churches, governments and NGOs in the prevention of human trafficking. She looks forward to a world where no one’s basic right for freedom is sold for the highest bid.
