P.C. Mathew , D. Min., Ph.D.

Global Director – Family Challenge World Evangelical Alliance

Born and raised in India, PC Mathew serves along with his wife Ciby Mathew as the founding directors of Urban India Ministries (UIM) based in Bangalore India. It’s a pioneering family ministry and the largest Christian family ministry in South Asia. UIM is
engaged in family life education, counselling through schools, colleges, churches, corporate and slums.
He is also the founder and Principal of UIM – Family Research Training Institute, Bangalore, a pioneering post graduate college in family life education and counselling affiliated to Martin Luther Christian University , Shillong, India.

He is a graduate of Physics from Madras Christian College and then pursued his theological education from Union Biblical Seminary, Pune, India He has a doctorate (D. Min) from Asbury Theological seminary, KY, US and a second doctorate ( Ph.D) from
Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong, India. Drawn by his passion to fulfil Christ’s Great commission through God’s primary
institution, the family, he was engaged wth WEA – MC as a younger leader from 2006.

He regularly writes articles for magazines, journals related to family life education. He also has served as General editor and contributor for a small group material for couples called “Church couples fellowship’ for two volumes. He serves as an adjunct faculty at Global School of Counselling, Southern Asia Bible College, South Asia Institute of Advanced Christian Studies and lectured internationally in few universities and seminaries in South Asia and US.

He is presently the Board Chairman of Christian Counsellors Association of India and Board member of Asian Christian Counsellors Association. He is the Global facilitator of the Transform World – family sphere. He has initiated several trainings for pastors and
leaders globally and in the South Asia region through WEA family challenge and Transform world. He also is an advisor to the 4/14 window movement in India.

As a couple with his wife Mrs. Ciby Mathew they have initiated many projects in India and they have travelled globally to more than 30 countries to learn, train and equip and coach families to live holistic family lives. Ciby is pursuing her PhD in Psychology and
counselling and they have three adult children ( ages 26, 23, 19) who love God and are pursing in understanding His direction for the future.
