"Children are great imitators. So give them something great to imitate." – Anonymous

Let’s TEACH our Children to pray!

As we mobilize for Global Day of Prayer there is always an appeal: “please remember the children!”   Throughout the word of God we read of how believers and followers of Jesus always had their children with them when coming before the Lord in prayer.

While Ezra was praying and confessing, weeping and throwing himself down before the house of God, a large crowd of Israelites—men, women and children—gathered around him. They too wept bitterly.
                                                                              Ezra 10:1

When it was time to leave, we left and continued on our way. All of them, including wives and children, accompanied us out of the city, and there on the beach we knelt to pray
Acts 21:5

Today all around the world children are praying – in their own prayer groups, in churches, in schools, in orphanages, even on the streets and we would like to encourage you to make them part of the Global Day of Prayer.  Allow them to participate in the planning, preparing and prayers on the day.

A Children’s Prayer Guide is available HERE for download.

Through networks such as the Children’s Prayer Network, thousands of children worldwide have heard the message that children can pray and children can minister; that they don’t have to wait until they are grown up to have a meaningful relationship with the Lord, and that He wants them to use the gifts He has given them to pray, worship and serve Him.

In India the Royal Kids Prayer Ministry has raised over a 1000 Children Intercessors to stand in the Gap for the nations.  These children, who are picked up from the streets out of the almost unthinkable circumstances, not only start impacting their own communities by prayer walking their local neighborhoods but are taught to pray for the nations and individuals. The children who were rejected as a curse now have become a blessing to the community and the world.

Let’s pray FOR the Children of this world!

"For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger, and you invited Me in, naked, and you clothed Me, I was sick, and you visited Me, I was in prison, and you came to Me…”
Matthew 25:35-45

There are 2.3 billion children on earth under age 15 and they represent the largest unreached people group in the world. Boys and girls in the 4/14 Window is given priority because they are more open and receptive to the gospel than older youth and adults. Nearly 85% of people who make a decision for Christ, do so between the ages of 4 to 14!

For this reason you are invited to participate in the Global 4/14 Day – a day of prayer and fasting for children aged 4 to 14 – on Saturday, April 14, 2012.  A Prayer Guide will be available from 1 April at http://www.global414day.com/guide.php for download.

While adults are registering for the Global 4/14 Day, ARISE is inviting CHILDREN to gather for prayer in every time zone of the world at 4:14PM (local time zone) on 14 April 2012 to unite in praise and worship, stand in the gap for their generation and to commit themselves to be a generation set apart for God.
