WEA Youth Commission News

General August 2, 2006

Dear Youth Commission Leaders,

Here’s the latest news from here at our offices and around the world of youth.

Website Updated

The WEA Youth Commission website was recently updated and we are excited about the features that are now available to all who are interested. Check out the latest changes on the Youth Commission page at http://www.worldevangelicalalliance.com/commissions/yc/. Note that the registration information for the Missions Forum in Orlando has been posted there. Let us know if you have any additions or corrections. Visit the WEA website often, it is always being updated.

National Coordinator Update Information Needed

It is important for us to keep up-to-date as to who the national Youth Commission Coordinators are—we refer people to them as requests come in from/for various countries. (We try to always copy you, as the regional leader.) To keep us methodical about this, we use the list in the NNYM Yellow Pages each year to prompt us to contact you. The 2007 issue will be released this early this fall. Rob Booth will be contacting you, asking you to review and update the coordinator information for your region. Please give him a quick response. All you have to do is check the information he sends and email him any changes ([email protected]). Along with correct coordinator information, we need to know which networks are “in Process” and which ones are “Established”.

January Youth Commission Meetings and Caribbean Consultation

We are very excited about the “triple whammy” of meetings scheduled for the Youth Commission in January 2007. The Caribbean Youth Commission Consultation is shaping up well, to be held 17-20 January in Kingston, Jamaica. We are excited about the possibilities.” Following are the dates worthy of note:

They are also hoping to hold another National Youth Leaders Mobilization Forum in Delhi in February. Pray for their efforts in this very challenging and needy land.

SKYPE – Let’s Talk!

SKYPE is a free phone service that will greatly improve our communications. It provides a very clear connection—not to mention its “chat” capabilities that allows us to “IM” each other, as well. So far over half of us are registered. It is very user friendly, so just go to www.skype.com for free download and directions. If you have difficulty, please let us know, and we’ll try to help. So far we have no numbers for:

· Solomon Gacece

· Ef Tendero

· Grahame Knox

· Jorge Zuniga

We praise God for all He is doing through you and in our countries. What a privilege to be serving Him in the great cause of seeking to reach the 50% of the world most likely to respond to the gospel. Please keep diligent in your faith—and let us know how to pray!
