The SG and his wife Christine visited Madeira, an island on the left side of Africa and an autonomous republic connected to Portugal. He discussed a special problem with the local churches, that is evangelism and counseling to the large community of retired people from all over Europe, who have moved to Madeira, as living costs are low and the weather is warm.

The SG and his wife also spent time visiting with his Senior Advisor on Prayer Initiatives and Research, brainstorming how to achieve a greater unity and cooperation among global prayer networks and how to further ministries like IDOP, Operation World or 30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World. The Senior Advisor recently had organized a global virtual meeting of heads of global prayer networks with the SG, a first time ever meeting of its kind.
