The Virtual Event’s Theme was : Emerging: A Journey of Healing and Hope. As the first keynote speaker Thomas Schirrmacher described the changing global Christian landscape. He described a growing gulf between the two parts of Systematic Theology, doctrine and ethics. There are many examples for a progress in more doctrinal unity between churches, for example the Old-Oriental churches no longer being seen as heretic churches, yet every progress here is destroyed by a growing split in ethics, which does not take place between churches, but within more or less every church.
