Thomas Schirrmacher meets Congo’s Guy Loando Mboyo State Minister for Regional Planning [March 2022]

Guy Loando Mboyo (born February 5, 1983) is a lawyer, Congolese politician and a member of the Senate of Democratic Republic of the Congo since 2019 who was appointed Minister of State in charge of Regional Planning since April 2021. He studied economic and social law at the University of Kinshasa and worked as a lawyer and legal advisor in the mining, economic and private investment sectors. He is also chairman of the Widal Foundation, which aims to fight poverty in the Democratic Republic of Congo, especially in Tshuapa and Kinshasa.

Mboyo and Schirrmacher discussed fighting poverty in Congo, including some projects in which charities related to Schirrmacher are involved, plans to protect the environment and the tropical rain forest, as well as the situation of Christianity in the country.
