Mario Li Hing is an ordained minister since 1979 and is the President/Bishop of the Protestant Community Evangelical Church Mauritius.
He has been greatly involved in coordinating many ministries and events at national level. These include the AD2000 Movement & Beyond, Global Mission 95 of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, March For Jesus 1996-2001, visits of the M.V. Doulos and Logos Hope in 1995, 1998 , 2005 and 2014 , the translation of the JESUS film in Mauritian Creole in 1998 as well as that of the Children’s version in 2003, Sports mission in the context of the 6th Indian Ocean Island Games in 2003, Global Day of Prayer from 2004 to date.
He was a Team Member of Scripture Union Africa Region and Director of Scripture Union, Indian Ocean Islands Region for more than 25 years.
He has participated in various networks/gatherings namely the Great Commission Roundtable, Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization, World Inquiry, the Transform World Movement, KidsGames/Major Sports Event Partnership, Vision 5:9, WEA MC and Strategic Sports Partnership.
He has been the Executive Board Chairman of the Association of Evangelicals in Africa (AEA) since 2001
