New York, NY – December 11, 2013
The World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) grieves the death of Isaac Hunter, son of Rev. Dr. Joel Hunter who is member of the WEA’s North American Council. “Not only is Joel Hunter a long-time member of our North American Council, a personal advisor, but he is a dear friend. Today, I join the thousands of people in grieving the passing of their son Isaac,“ said Dr. Geoff Tunnicliffe, Secretary General of the WEA.
“This loss comes only three years after the death of their 5 year old granddaughter Ava from brain cancer. Please, join me in prayer for Joel and Becky and the entire Hunter family.”
“It is my personal prayer for the Hunters they will experience the promise of Isaiah 43:2: When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.” Dr. Tunnicliffe continued.
“It is at moments like these, we are reminded of the eternal hope we have in Jesus Christ: and He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall no longer be any death; there shall no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away. (Revelation 21:4)”
Hunter is survived by his wife, Rhonda, and three children.
