Antigua: UEA elects new excutive

Member churches of the United Evangelical Association of Antigua & Barbuda recently elected a new Executive Committee to manage the affairs of the Organisation, an umbrella body of the Evangelical Churches in the nation.
The new President is Rev. Alister Jackson who is pastor of the Lion of Judah Wesleyan Holiness Church located in Willikies. Rev. Rudolph Harris of the Olivet Pentecostal Church (Liberta) and Rev. Ivor Davis of the Zion Church of God (North Street) were elected to serve as 1st & and 2nd Vice Presidents respectively.
Other elected Officers were: Clovis St. Romain as Secretary General, Rev. Glenville Ferris as Treasurer, Pastor Hugh Martin as Assistant Treasurer and Rev. Joscelyn Martin as Public Relations Officer. Bishop Ewing Dorsett and Bishop Elmond Joseph were elected to serve as Committee Members at Large.
Speaking after the election, incoming President Alister Jackson thanked members of the out-going Executive for their sacrifices to keep the Organisation together through some tough times. He also expressed profound gratitude to members present for their confidence in him and promised to do his best with the help of other elected Officers to improve the impact and reach of the Organisation.
Members of the new Committee are expected to hold their first planning meeting towards the end of January 2008.
