Pastor Ian David, murdered on Sunday, December 01 in his church in the presence of his fiancée, his daughter and son-in-law and two parishioners, was laid to rest on Wednesday after services at the Outreach Ministries International Winners Cathedral and then at the congregation he pastored at Prophecy One Deliverance Ministry in Hadfield Street. Pastor David was just 41 years old and was scheduled to marry his fiancée in 2008.
In delivering the sermon at both funeral services, Bishop Juan Edghill criticised how the police have been handling the matter. Bishop Edghill also called on the Church in Guyana to support the congregation of Prophecy One Deliverance Ministry as they pass through this difficult time.
