The WEA is delighted to announce that the Église Protestante d’Algérie (EPA), representing many evangelical churches in Algeria, is a new National Evangelical Alliance member of the WEA.

This new relationship represents a very important step for the churches in Algeria.

‘The churches in Algeria have a huge amount to contribute to the global church’, says WEA Associate Secretary General Gordon Showell-Rogers ‘these brothers and sisters demonstrate evangelical unity in often deeply challenging circumstances. We warmly welcome the EPA into the global WEA family’.

This new link between the national movement and the WEA provides the church in Algeria with immediate and deeper access to the WEA’s service arms and to every other national Evangelical Alliance globally.

‘The EPA is sincerely grateful to all the "Global Evangelical Alliance" family for making us feel at home in the family. Thank you particularly for your help in our current difficulties with our authorities. Your solidarity encourages us to stand and look calmly toward the future. (1 Sam 7: 12). We send you our love and respect.’ says Nourredine Benzid, Associate Secretary General of EPA.

The World Evangelical Alliance is made up of 128 national evangelical alliances located in 7 regions and104 associate member organizations and global networks. The WEA is the world's largest association of evangelical Christians serving a constituency of 600 million people.
