The holiday season is always busy for everyone, and this is true for
Musalaha as well. We have a number of activities and events planned,
from now until the end of 2007 that will ensure our pace remains steady
and quick. We rely on God for everything, and all that we do is for His
glory. So we ask that while you take time to celebrate the birth of our
Lord this year, and appreciate family and friends, you would also
remember some of these reconciliation initiatives in your prayers, and
ask God to grant strength, courage, and love to his children on both
sides of the conflict.
Thank you for your support and prayer,
May God bless you with His peace and joy,
The Musalaha Staff
November 29-30 – Women’s ConferenceThis conference will include women’s groups from all over the West Bank, Ramallah,
Abud, Zababde, Jericho, and Bethlehem. In all there will be around 60 women meeting
together, for a time of prayer, fellowship, and training in reconciliation. The
teaching will focus on the topic of Freedom. Please remember these women in your
prayers, as they travel, and meet together. Ask that God would give them a spirit of
openness and willingness to learn and grow.
November 30-December 1 – Young Adult Training WorkshopThis overnight meeting of young adults will bring together a group of Palestinian
and Israeli men and women that traveled together to the desert in Musalaha’s
September Desert Encounter. They will be building on the friendships they
established on their trip, and will receive further training on reconciliation, and
what next steps need to be taken. The topic their training will cover is Obstacles
to Reconciliation. Please pray for their safety in travel, and that all obstacles
blocking them from reconciling in brotherly and sisterly love, would be removed.
December 7 – Women’s Group MeetingThis meeting will be the first of its kind. It will bring together Palestinian
Israeli women from the Northern Galilee region of Israel, with Palestinian women
from Bethlehem in the West Bank. They will be discussing the crucial subject of
identity, and particularly Identity in the Messiah and Reconciliation. This will be
an informative meeting for these women who are living in such different communities,
and yet have so much in common. Please remember these women in your prayers and ask
God to help them recognize and appreciate their shared identity in Christ.
December 14-15 – Third Side of the Two Sides Group MeetingThe Third Side women’s group will meet again, and continue with their prayer and
intercession for the conflict that affects their lives, and advance in their
training. The teaching they will receive will cover the Stages of Reconciliation.
They will also continue to deepen their relationships, growing closer to each other
and to God. Please keep these women in your prayers as they meet and faithfully
fulfill God’s commandment to pray, and work towards peace.
