The life of eminent evangelical theologian, Clark Pinnock, who explored the edges of the Christian faith is taking a new direction. The professor emeritus of systematic theology at McMaster Divinity College in Hamilton, Ontario, has decided—because of illness—to conclude his remarkable teaching and writing career.

Many of us seem to be facing new directions these days for many different reasons. For one thing, these are uncertain times – times of transition. As circumstances shift and change around us, we are faced with choices. What do we do when there’s a fork in the road? How do we decide which direction to take? Robert Des Cotes, writing for CanadianChristianity.com, offers a simple but profound insight.

One thing is certain, if the new direction we choose is firmly grounded in God’s guidance, it is undergirded by peace and a quiet confidence. How do we overcome the noise of competing demands to hear that still, small voice that leads us? Les Galicinski, writing for Business.Life magazine, suggests we must be deliberate about spiritual renewal the way Mary was when she chose "the good portion."

The above articles are featured on our homepage this week along with many other selections and news commentary. Read more about the direction our government is taking with respect to the census. The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada says the census is important to minority and religious groups because they rely heavily on the data for planning and for visibility with the government.

Have a good week!
