Mr. Johnnie Moore who is known as executive, faith leader, author and speaker has recently joined the North American Council (NAC) of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA). Mr. Moore has been called one of the most influential young leaders in the world today, and he is numbered among America's leading spokespersons for international religious freedom.
“These are consequential days for the faithful around the world. Persecution and promise intermingle in a way we have rarely seen since the first century," Johnnie Moore said upon joining the NAC. "The mission of the WEA has simply never been more important than it is today, and it is a true privilege to serve that vision in this new way.”
The mission of WEA's North American Council is to support the work of the WEA and its national Evangelical Alliances, in empowering and mobilizing local churches and Christian organizations worldwide to spread the Gospel and disciple the nations for Jesus Christ.
It accomplishes this by promoting active partnership and functional unity of the evangelical Church within North America and around the world; by facilitating the networking of evangelical church leaders and others capable of providing assistance to the evangelical Church both within and outside of North America; and by receiving, managing, and disbursing funds in North America and abroad for the purpose of promoting, strengthening, and expanding the activities of evangelical churches within and outside of North America.
Ken Artz, Chair of the NAC said: “Johnnie Moore will add great value to the North American Council of the WEA. I look forward to his commitment, experience and leadership.”
