Hurricane Felix has in the past hour gone ashore on the coast of Nicaragua in Central America as a category five hurricane, packing sustained winds of 160 mph (260 km/hr). This area of Nicaragua I understand is not heavily populated. The projected path of the storm now takes it inland over Nicaragua, through Honduras and into Guatemala and Mexico. Once fully ashore the storm will quickly lose much of its wind power. However, similar storms in this area in the recent past have caused much damage and loss of life with flash floods and mudslides resulting from the high rainfall associated with the storm. Please continue to keep this area in prayer.
