FBR REPORT: Burma Army troops kill villagers and IDPs as they mass troops with over 90 battalions no
GeneralJanuary 15, 2008
Brutal oppression and genocide continues in Burma as it has for decades, but another brief moment of media interest has long sense ceased. The crack down has not stopped, the torture has not stopped, the killing has not stopped, but the the media coverage that helps the collective will for change has stopped. We citizens of the world need the media to help keep us awake to the reality of this ongoing tragedy, and point us toward those change agents providing opportunities for us to join in promoting peace in Burma. Please help! It is not for lack of information that reporting has stopped. Many are risking their lives to deliver accurate and current information on the Burmese regime's violent oppression of it's own people, and those who struggle to survive. Please see our recent report: Burma Army troops kill villagers and IDPs as they mass troops with over 90 battalions now in northern Karen State, Burma
