Two Pastors and a Christian believer were attacked by a group of Hindu extremists in Hassan district of Karnataka on Sunday, November 25.

The three Christians were attacked during the Sunday worship service when the extremists barged into the Vision Christ Church and chased away the worshipping believers. After which, the two pastors, C.J. Joemon and C.J. Jojo and another believer, G. Anil were stripped and dragged out to the village where they were tied to a pole and beaten.

The police only arrived several hours later and took the Christians to the police station. Instead of arresting the attackers, the police charged the pastors with forced conversion. The Christians were not given medical aid or granted bail until a Christian organization intervened.

When the Evangelical Fellowship of India contacted the Shakleshpur rural police station, constable Mohan said that the extremists were not arrested because the victims refused to file charges against them.

Please pray for the believers of Vision Christ Church, especially for those who were attacked.
