The purpose of the WEA Religious Liberty Prayer Release is to keep you informed and mobilized in prayer and intercession for the needs of justice and religious liberty in the Church around the globe, so that we can stand together for the work of the Kingdom and the healing of the Nations. The Prayer Release is comprised on the basis of different credible resources.
Christians falsely accused, arrested and jailed in Madhya Pradesh, INDIA
30 March, 3 Christians were arrested by police in Madhya Pradesh on 16 March after a worship service was disrupted by Hindu extremists accompanied by media personnel and State police.According to reports, the Hindu extremists accused the pastor and congregants of forceful conversion. The police, however, stated that the Christians were innocent and should not be harassed. The extremists objected and pressurized the police to take action against the congregants.
Under duress, the police arrested 3 Christians and registered a case against them. It is reported that the Christians were sent to the district jail as they were unable to pay bail money. The Christians were released on bail on 27 March after the intervention of area church leaders.
Pray for the Christians harassed in the incident, that they would continue to be steadfast in the faith;
Pray that those instigating acts of violence and discrimination against Christians would turn away from such hostilities;
Pray that those persecuting Christians would come to experience the saving grace of God;
Pray that the authorities would be committed to doing justice, in spite of the pressures they face.

Fulani herdsmen kills 16 Christians in NIGERIA
March 5, According to reports, armed gunmen believed to be Fulani herdsmen attacked a cluster of villages in Plateau state, killing 16 Christians and destroying several homes.2 churches were among the buildings set ablaze in the attacks.
It is reported that the incident was the second such attack in the district in less than a week.
Pray that Jesus would comfort those who are mourning the loss of loved ones;
Pray that God would provide the resources needed to rebuild the homes and churches destroyed in the attack;
Pray that Christians in Nigeria would continue to persevere through tribulations;
Pray that God would soften the hearts of those responsible for carrying out these attacks, to repent and turn away from violence.
