The 9th General Assembly 2022 of the Latin American Evangelical Alliance was held in October 2022 under the theme “The Role of Alliances in Latin American Churches”. The evangelical churches in Latin America have grown considerably in recent decades, and so the participation in the General Assembly was also considerable.
The event aimed to strengthen the work of humanitarian aid, evangelism and religious freedom in each country of Latin America and to ensure that the church remains relevant in society. Bishop Dr. Thomas Schirrmacher, general secretary of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA), attended as a special guest.
