A recent international meeting hosted by the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) brought together affiliates and partners from around the world to discuss a renewed strategic focus on collaboration and partnership.
The virtual gathering opened with introductions from participants representing a wide range of affliates, including The Salvation Army, World Vision, Open Doors International, Tearfund, Healthcare Christian Fellowship International, GACX and Pioneers. Attendees highlighted their missions, geographic reach, and areas of expertise, underscoring the diversity and global scale of the network.
The meeting began with prayer followed by a strategic introduction of the WEA and an opportunity for questions and discussion.
In sharing His heart for the Great Commission as well as WEA’s strategic direction, Rev. Mansour described the organization’s vision to act as a facilitator—connecting networks and supporting their existing efforts rather than imposing centralized agendas. This approach aligns with WEA’s “Roadmap 2030,” which prioritizes advocacy, strengthening alliances, collaboration, and organizational development.
“This is about collaboration over competition,” Mansour said, emphasizing the importance of unity in addressing global challenges faced by faith communities.
Leaders from different affiliates welcome the direction of the WEA and shared insights from their own work and expressed interest in deeper cooperation.
A formal announcement regarding the collaboration initiative is expected in the near future, along with details for organizations interested in participating.
