Global Generosity Network

About the GGN

The Global Generosity Network (GGN) is an initiative of the World Evangelical Alliance and part of the WEA Business Coalition to integrate stewardship, generous living, Kingdom focused giving into the theology and life of the Global Church

The GGN challenges the global Church towards whole-life discipleship that includes radical generosity and wise stewardship. The GGN believes that such generosity will result in a dramatic increase in giving to Christian causes to advance God’s Kingdom.

The GGN:

  • Promotes an integrated approach towards Biblical generosity and stewardship, church life, mission awareness, accountability and Christian giving
  • Advances stewardship, generosity and giving in the WEA Family and in collaboration with other structures and organisations in the wider Body of Christ
  • Connects with Evangelical Fellowships/Alliances, initiatives, ministries and organisations in the World Evangelical Alliance Family and global Christian community to integrate stewardship, generosity and giving in the theology and life of the Body of Christ locally, nationally, regionally and globally.
  • Compiles and distributes key generosity resources through the WEA Family and beyond including:
  • Introduces the WEA Family to initiatives such as:
  • Organises events such as Generosity Breakfasts
  • Encourages and supports generosity related research that can provide fresh perspectives and data on regional generosity challenges

With the Global Generosity Network as one of the main organisers, 60 global Christian leaders met from 27-29 October in Manila, Philippines, during the Global Generosity Forum to discern what God is saying to the global church about stewardship, generosity, giving, accountability and God-honouring fundraising as being part of whole-life discipleship. Participants are now working on a Generosity Declaration and Generosity Resources Repository to be launched at the Lausanne Congress in September 2024 in Seoul.

The GGN played a key role in organising and hosting the Manila Generosity Breakfast in collaboration with the Tearfund, the Christian Stewardship Association and the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches (PCEC).The aim with the Breakfast was to inspire greater generosity in the Philippines. 90 leaders, including 30 leaders from the Philippines, attended the Breakfast. The GGN plays a leading role in co-organising similar Generosity Breakfasts in other cities in the world to inspire greater generosity in those cities. This is being done in collaboration with national Evangelical Alliances and key generosity initiatives.

As an initiative of the World Evangelical Alliance, the GGN collaborates with National Evangelical Alliances to integrate stewardship, generosity and giving into the theology and life of churches in the specific country. On 6 November 2023, Dr Sas Conradie of the GGN visited the Evangelical Alliance of Singapore where he met with Rev Ezekiel Tan, General Secretary and Rev Samuel Gift Stephen, Deputy General Secretary to discuss how the GGN could serve the Alliance in Singapore.

The GGN highly values input from regions around the world. Please contact the Global Generosity Network to discuss assistance in integrating stewardship, generosity and giving into the theology and life of your church, ministry, business and area of influence.
