Rachel Afeaki-Taumoepeau

General Secretary, South Pacific Evangelical Alliance

Rachel Afeaki-Taumoepeau is the South Pacific Evangelical Region’s Regional General Secretary appointed in 2019 at the General Assembly in Jakarta.  Rachel has been a board member on the New Zealand National Alliance for 7 years, and the co-director for the South Pacific WEA Women’s Commission for the last 5 years. In 2017 Rachel was asked to join the WEA Structure Framework Taskforce and in 2020 was a member of the WEA Roadmap 2030 Taskforce.  Rachel has extensive experience in strategic international and national governance across government, church, business, and community.

In her local city Hamilton, New Zealand, Rachel is part of the Hamilton City Prayer Breakfast committee delivering its 3rd City-wide Prayer Breakfast in collaboration with the local Senior Pastors and Church leaders in partnership with the New Zealand National Alliance. A director of FaceNorth Promotions Ltd, a self-employed businesswoman and a professional director, she has a heart for the prophetic, mobilizing communities and platforming God’s significance within her spheres of influence concerning governance and leadership. In particular, Rachel hopes to grow Evangelical Alliances in the South Pacific region. Rachel and her husband Aleki attend Activate Church with their four young sons aged 6, 8,10 & 12 – who enjoy rugby, golf, cycling and have a love for music.
