NAE Defends Release Time Religious Education
The NAE joined the Christian Legal Society, the National Committee for Furtherance of Jewish Education and Advocates for Faith and Freedom in defending a South Carolina school district against a lawsuit related to the school’s accommodation of off-site religious classes. (read more)

U.S. Evangelicals Pick the U.K
When asked “Other than the United States of America, what government in the world do you most admire?”, evangelical leaders named a variety of democratic countries with the United Kingdom leading at 27 percent. Other ranking countries included Israel, 23 percent; Canada, 19 percent; Australia, 15 percent; and Germany, 8 percent. (read more)

Anika Smith Tapped to Lead NAE’s Project to Reduce Abortions
“Around one million abortions every year is around one million too many,” said Leith Anderson, NAE President. “Anika Smith joining the NAE team brings new leadership to the ongoing cause of abortion elimination by helping women and men make right choices. She understands and relates to the young adult generation, which has the greatest number of abortions today.” (read more)

Premiering this October, 58: is the inspiring story of the global Church rising up to its remarkable potential to end extreme poverty by 2035. Christian Student Leadership Conference
Don’t let the college student in your life miss the NAE’s 2012 week-long student conference in D.C.  The conference’s theme is Compassionate Justice and will be held Jan. 23-27, 2012.  The conference allows students to meet with leaders in government and to learn how top leaders integrate their faith and politics. Uncover Summit
The Uncover Summit is a three-day leadership gathering Nov. 7-9 in Orlando dedicated to unleashing the life-transforming power of God’s Word and revealing the love of Christ. Convened by the Forum of Bible Agencies in North America, the Summit will provide the latest Scripture engagement research, proven resources and best practices. Hispanic Education Summit
On Sept. 14, Oral Roberts University will host the Hispanic Education Summit sponsored by the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference. This Summit will highlight academic challenges faced by Latinos and education providers, in addition to strategies and ideas to facilitate an upward curve of academic success. (read more)

World Food Day
Host a Sunday dinner on Oct. 16 to celebrate World Food Day. Oxfam America developed resources for dinners that foster conversations about where food comes from, who cultivates it, and how to make the food system more just and sustainable. (read more)
