The Global Engagement Department works with Evangelical Alliances and the broader WEA family, providing programs and resources to enable them to develop healthy disciple-making churches that make a difference in their communities. The purpose of the Global Engagement Depart is to:
- Scout the global movements of God in specific topical areas by either serving as the trusted convener or attend events by other trusted conveners of key leaders and organizations in those topical areas.
- Speak into and shape these movements from the WEA perspective.
- Curate resources (events, tools, training, coaching, research, funding, etc) with the Alliance Engagement Department to equip regional and national alliances join these movements of God and to create their own structures to do the same for their alliance members.
Children
WEA launched its Children’s Network to rally experts and WEA’s global constituency in more than 130 countries together by providing a platform for collaboration that aims to connect global children’s ministries and Evangelical Alliances and speak as a representative evangelical voice on issues related to children. The mission of the WEA Children’s Network is to equip parents and the Church to love, protect, guide and empower all children.
Family
Family Challenge is a global strategic collaboration which aims to transform communities around the globe by partnering with the church to build families according to God’s design and equip families to be agents of change, impacting their communities for Christ
Pastoring of Pastors
Pastoring of Pastors seeks to help pastors be healthy, understanding that a healthy pastor is the principal key to a healthy church which in turn, is the key to a healthy community or city.
Youth
Reaching the world for Christ has long been the cry of the church. But, often we have lost sight of Jesus’ command to “let the children come to me” (Matt 19:14). Now, with over one-half the world under the age of 25, it is clear that, if we are to reach the world, we must reach youth. Yet, youth materials and programs are sparse in most countries.
Mission Commission
The Mission Commission is a community of mission leaders that strategically serves as a catalyst for the global missions community to promote greater effectiveness in mission for God’s glory in all the world. A commission of the World Evangelical Alliance, we are an international and inter-generational community of global mission leaders who proactively reflect on shared issues in order to advance God’s mission.
Global Theology
The Global Theology Department leads an ongoing global discussion process between WEA’s wide range of members, churches, training institutions, theologians, and researchers, seeking to speak with one voice to the world and connects WEA to all other global Christian communions. It seeks to be present whenever theological informed issues are debated on a global level.
Global Generosity Network
The Global Generosity Network (GGN) is an initiative of the World Evangelical Alliance to integrate stewardship, generous living, Kingdom focused giving into the theology and life of the Global Church
