The Myanmar Evangelical Christian Alliance (MECA) held its 36th General Conference at UBS Chapel, Pale, Yangon on April 8, 2017. Part of its agenda was to elect or re-elect the leadership of MECA and its commissions, which range from theological education, mission & evangelism, to relief & development, religious liberty, youth, women, children & family, and more.

General Secretary Rev. Dr. Morris Liana commented: “MECA was formed in 1981 with 7 denominations, but now we have 63 Denominations and 47 Ministries under the MECA. We are praying that within this term God will open door for MECA office land and building. There are 45 Bible Colleges/Seminaries, and 22 Orphanages under MECA. Please pray for MECA's new leadership team so that they may do the works of the Lord successfully in the next 5 years.”
