The World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) grieves the passing of Enoch Yuttasak Sirikul who died unexpectedly of a heart attack on April 29. Enoch who was only 59 years old served as Chairman of Thailand Campus Crusade for Christ and the Thailand Evangelism and Church Growth Committee and was considered a key leader of the evangelical movement in his country. He was also part of the Evangelical Fellowship of Thailand, WEA’s national member body, and the local organizer for the upcoming Global Proclamation Congress (GProC) that is to take place in Bangkok in June 15-22 this year.

“We’re saddened by the unexpected departure of our dear friend Enoch who was a faithful servant of Christ and the great visionary leader who has mobilized the Evangelical Church in Thailand to have significant growth and progress,” said Bishop Efraim Tendero, Secretary General of the WEA. “We’re comforted to know that he is now with the Father in Heaven who has called him home, and we pray that God’s peace and grace will be with his family.”

“Please join us in prayer for Enoch’s family, for comfort and care during this time of grief. He leaves behind his wife, Laya Si and son, Noel Chakris.”
