
Representatives of the various regions of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) met together from 21 to 23 April in the city of Lambaré, Paraguay commiting to deepening their partnership.
At this significant meeting, organised by the Latin Evangelical Alliance – AEL, the general secretaries of the Latin America, Europe, North America, South Pacific, Asia, Caribbean, Central Asia, Africa and Middle East regions shared detailed reports on the work and challenges they face in their respective regional alliances.
Dr. Goodwill Shana gave an update on the latest WEA initiatives and priorities at the global level. Samuel Chiang provided detailed information on the programme and logistical aspects of the upcoming General Assembly in Korea to be held in Korea from 27-31 October.

Different regional leaders also shared about highlights in their region, discussed concrete proposals to be considered at the General Assembly in Korea.
Alliance Engagement Director, Brad Smith has also played a pivotal role in guiding an in-depth reflection on the vision, mission and strategic direction of the WEA for the coming years.
This meeting in Paraguay underscores the World Evangelical Alliance’s intention to foster collaboration and mutual understanding among its various regions, working together for the advancement of the Gospel globally.
