Islamic State destroys iconic Clock Church in IRAQ
According to reports, Islamic State (IS) militants have destroyed the iconic Clock Church in Mosul, Iraq.
Known as the Sa’a Qadima Church, the structure, built in 1872, was considered an archeological site. According to activists, the church’s destruction is said to be a part of a series of attacks on historical sites in the Nineveh province by IS militants.
Prayer points:
- Pray that Christians living in Iraq would trust God for protection and guidance;
- Pray that there will be an end to the violence unleashed by the Islamic State in the Middle East;
- Pray for church leaders in Iraq that they would stand firm and continue to minister faithfully amidst the violence and destruction.
