The World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) invites you to participate in the upcoming prayer service ‘A Call to Prayer for the Middle East’ on August 14th in New York. In the context of the ongoing conflict in Gaza, evangelical leaders of Israel and Palestine will be leading a time of prayer for their land.

Participants include Rev. Harry Tees, WEA Ambassador to the Holy Land, Rev. Charles (Chuck) Kopp, Chairman of the Evangelical Alliance of Israel, and Dr. Munir Kakish, Chairman of the Council of Local Evangelical Churches in the Holy Land (representing evangelicals in the Palestinian Territories). They will each be sharing their firsthand experience and then lead a prayer.

“Now is the time we should all get together around the Lord Jesus and pray for each other and plead for mercy, undeserved mercy for all of us,” Rev. Kopp says and adds: “Let us avoid entering the trap of the blame game, but rather, admitting that we are ALL sinners saved by grace and without Him we are destined to return to this same table of accusatory negotiations.”

The prayer service will be held on August 14th at 5:30 p.m. at the Salvation Army Headquarters (221 East 52nd Street, New York, NY).
