The need for a global movement to achieve a world without orphans has never been greater!
The last several years have been filled with crises, from disease to conflict to natural disasters. This has caused many of us to grow weary, and we know that children suffer the most in such times. Yet we also know that now is the time for God’s light in us to shine in the darkness, for the darkness has not overcome it (John 1:5).
World Without Orphans (WWO), an affiliate of WEA, is excited to invite you to the third Global Forum for a World Without Orphans. Titled “Together from Crisis to Hope,” the event will take place in Chiang Mai, Thailand from February 29 to March 3, 2024.
As a global collaboration, WWO works to see children thriving, families strong, and churches engaged. Our mission is to call and equip national leaders to solve their country’s crisis of orphaned and vulnerable children. By working together in humility and with hope, we help children to remain in, be reunited with, or regain a safe and loving family so as to fulfill their God-given purpose.
The Global Forum will be an amazing opportunity to celebrate what the Lord is doing, learn from each other and from experts, and encourage each other to take action. Together, we will form a learning community that can accelerate progress in moving from crisis to hope by applying tools and principles from the WWO Roadmap—a manual of proven best practices and evidence-based, contextualized models.
We know that the needs seem daunting. Yet we believe that a “Gideon’s army” of dedicated believers will collaborate across government, business, and churches as we overflow with hope for children and families.
The program will include regional gatherings where participants can develop a shared vision for children and families and seek ways to collaborate effectively.
The first WWO Global Forum in 2016 brought together 450 leaders from 60 countries, and the second event in 2019 had 500 leaders from 70 countries. We are praying expectantly for God to bring the right catalytic leaders together just a few months from now.
