The World Evangelical Alliance is pleased to announce the appointment of Rev. Ashish Hirday as Global Facilitator of its Youth Commission.

The WEA Youth Commission exists to unite, encourage and support national and regional alliance youth commissions as they facilitate the church’s efforts to reach, equip and mobilize young people to disciple their communities and the world for Jesus Christ.

Ashish began working with young people at age 22, and his passion for reaching, guiding, and empowering them grew over time along with his expanding responsibilities. He has served as Associate Director of the National Youth Commission for the Evangelical Fellowship of India. Additionally, he has contributed on the regional level as the Executive Director of the Asia Evangelical Alliance’s Youth Commission.

Ashish envisions the WEA Youth Commission as a unifying force that can enable the global church to positively influence communities. “I am humbled by the opportunity to serve the WEA Youth Commission and excited to embrace this new responsibility,” he stated. “As I embark on this journey, I am wholeheartedly dependent on God, trusting in His guidance and provision every step of the way.”

Raised in India by parents who served in a mission hospital, Ashish cherishes his role as loving husband to Rachana and father of three children. We ask for prayers and support for Ashish as he takes on this important role.
